What is CNC Turning-Milling Compound?
While turning only rotates the workpiece and milling only rotates the tool, turning-milling machining combines two methods, that is, both the workpiece and tool can rotate according to the requirements of CAD files and input instructions.

The milling and turning center machine is used for turning and milling processing, which is basically a hybrid system that can perform both turning and milling operations without switching equipment. Due to the complex geometric shape requiring two processes, this method eliminates the need for frequent machine switching and streamline manufacturing compared to normal CNC machining processes.

Both milling and turning tools are included in CNC milling lathes, and their settings enable them to be quickly used simultaneously under computer input commands.

Why Choose CNC Turning-Milling Compound?
Compared with conventional CNC machining or turning processes, the outstanding advantages of CNC Turning-Milling machining are mainly manifested in the following aspects.
Shorten Manufacturing Process Chain and Improve Production Efficiency
Turning and milling composite processing can achieve complete all or most of the processing steps in one operation, greatly shortening the product manufacturing process chain. On the one hand, this reduces the production auxiliary time caused by clamping changes, while also reducing the manufacturing cycle and waiting time of fixtures, which can significantly improve production efficiency.
Reduce Clamping Times and Improve Machining Accuracy
The reduction of fixture loading times avoids the accumulation of errors caused by positioning reference conversion. At the same time, most of the turn-milling compound processing equipment has the function of online detection, which can achieve in situ detection and accuracy control of key data in the manufacturing process, thereby improving the processing accuracy of the product.
Reduce Floor Space and Production Cost
Although the equipment cost of turning and milling compound machine is relatively high, due to the shortening of the manufacturing process chain and the reduction of equipment required for the product, as well as the reduction of the number of fixtures, workshop area, and equipment maintenance costs, it can effectively reduce the overall investment in fixed assets, production operation, and management costs.
